MATERIALS AND METHODS

• 665 patients with chronic liver diseases consecutively studied were included. We detected 8 patients (6F, 2M, age range 48 - 73 years) with intrahepatic shunts (1,2%).
• Sequoia 512 imagegate (Acuson - Siemens)
• LEVOVIST, software A.D.I. (Agent Detection Imaging) with High Mechanical Index ;
• SONOVUE, software C.C.I. (Coherent Contrast Imanging) with Low Mechanical Index
